Fossoy is one of the first villages in the Marne Valley after leaving Chateau-Thierry in the direction of Epernay. Here, meandering in graceful bends, the Marne has carved a landscape of slopes to form this terroir which is so characteristic of the Champagne region, and the source of the perfect balance of its wines.
With excellent hillside locations on both
sides of the Marne, the vineyards of the A. Robert estate are planted
with the three great Champagne varieties: the Pinot Meunier, with its
well structured fruit, the Chardonnay which gives finesse and elegance,
and the Pinot Noir, which rounds out the blend with power and distinction.
